In contemporary world, the idea of freedom is not limited to single aspect. The colours of freedom have been constantly spreading across the different frontiers of law. The primacy and essentiality of right to freedom has been appreciated quintessentially in various international as well as national documents. The role played by the judiciary has been instrumental in moulding the right particularly for those countries where the contours and contents were undefined. The struggles and the resistance of people to fight back violations of freedom defined contemporaneity of freedom of right discourses all over the world. The changing nature of the state and its apparatuses redefined the legal discourses in right to freedom. Thus , the convergence of different ideals has shaped and moulded the right to freedom which is still in an
evolving state.
