Teaching Experience

Assistant Professor (On Contract) at the School of Indian Legal Thought, Mahatma Gandhi University from 16.06.2025. I offer Constitutional Law, Family Law, IPR, Offences against Child and Juvenile Justice to the undergraduate students of Law. For the post graduate scholars, I offer various papers in IPR including the Contemporary Issues in Intellectual Property Rights – Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge and Cultural Expressions and Trademarks, Geographical Indications and Industrial Designs. I co-guided an LL.M dissertation titled ‘Lok-Ayukta – A Critical Study in the Light of Kerala Experience.’

1. Published a paper titled ‘A Tale of Reluctance and Response: An Analysis of the Judicial Approach to Hate Speech in India’ in the CMR University Journal for Contemporary Legal Affairs, Volume 4 Issue 1.
2. Published an article ‘Discerning the Legitimacy of Hatred and Hostility – The Hate Speech Dilemma’ in Salgaocar Law Review, Volume VIII Issue 1. 
3. An article titled ‘Hate Speech: A Cause for Protection or Restriction?’ was published in the Indian Journal of Law and Legal Research.
4. Published a chapter in an edited book on ‘Technology and Law’ published by the VIT School of Law, Chennai on ‘Hate Speech : A ‘Real’ Issue in the ‘Virtual’ Space.’
5. Published a chapter titled ‘Striking at the Roots of Equality, Liberty and Fraternity – Hate Speeches: A Clamant Human Rights Concern’ in the book on ‘State, Civil Society and Human Rights: Neoliberal Reflections’ brought out by the Department of Law, Central University of Kerala with ISBN 978-93-5396-695-9.

1. Presented a paper titled ‘Acute Abuse of Free Speech and Erosion of Constitutional Rights –The Hate Speech Story’ at the One Day National Seminaron Constitutional Sentinel: Safeguarding Rights and Liberties in India, conducted by Aliah University, Calcutta.
2. Presented a research paper titled, ‘Hate Speech: A Real Issue in the Virtual Space’ at the National Conference on Modern Trends and Technology in Law and It’s Impact on Crime and Justice System, organised by the VIT School of Law, on 22nd March, 2022.
3. Presented a paper at the One day National Seminar on ‘Law and Religion’ at the Department of Law, Madras University, which was titled ‘The Burgeoning of Bias and Bigotry- An Analysis of Religious Hate Speeches in the Light of Constitutional Rights of Targeted Minorities’.
4. Attended and presented a paper titled ‘Striking at the Roots of Equality, Liberty and Fraternity- Hate Speeches: A Clamant Human Rights Concern’ at the International Interdisciplinary Seminar on State, Civil Society and Human Rights: Neoliberal Reflections’ conducted by Department of Law, Central University of Kerala.
5. Presented a paper on ‘Traditional Knowledge and the Biodiversity Act’ at the two day National Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights conducted by Bharatmatha School of  Legal Studies. 

 Seminars and workshops

1. Attended the 10-day Workshop on ‘Research Methodology for Social Sciences’ conducted by the Centre for Social Studies, Surat which was sponsored by The Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi from 2nd January to 11th January 2020.
2. Participated in the 3-day National Seminar on ‘Research Methodology for Social Sciences’ organised by the Postgraduate and Research Department of Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam.
3. Attended the 2-day National Seminar on ‘Fundamentals of Social Science Research’ organised by the Department of Commerce, Government College, Thalassery which was sponsored by the Directorate of College Education, Kerala.
4. Participated in the 7-day faculty Development Program organized by the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University on ‘The Challenges of Online Research.’.
5. Participated and helped organise a Legal Aid Camp at Attappady on 11th April 2015 held by the Inter-Disciplinary Centre for Social Justice, NUALS and conducted a socio-legal survey in the tribal hamlet of Vannamthala in Attappady Taluk;
6. National Workshop on ‘Human Rights of Elderly Persons: Law and Reality’ organized by the Centre for           Human Rights, NUALS in collaboration with Social Justice Department, Government of Kerala on 13th and 14th of February, 2016; 
7. National Seminar on ‘Ragging: Legal Rights & Dimensions’ conducted by the National Human Rights Commission in association with NUALS from 25th to 27th of March, 2015 
8. National Seminar on ‘Water Law and Policy in India’ conducted by the Centre for Environment and Law, NUALS on 9th October, 2014; 
9. One day National Workshop on ‘Legal Status of Sexual Minorities: The Indian Perspective and Need for Reform’ conducted by the Centre for Parliamentary Studies and Law Reforms, NUALS on 22nd February 2014.
