On the 26th of November 2021, Friday, the School of Indian Legal Thought celebrated National Law Day, also known as Constitution Day, which is celebrated on November 26 every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. As part of the day, all students along with the teachers and staff had read the Preamble of the Constitution of India and also taken a pledge to protect our Constitution. Along with that, one of the students of the School of Indian Legal Thought has taken a legal awareness class for senior citizens of a locality near Kanjikkuzhi. The awareness class that was taken with the support of the Department, aimed to enlighten the senior citizens about their legal rights. As most senior citizens are not fully aware of their rights, this class seemed very beneficial for them. Governmental schemes, policies and other legal provisions related to the rights of senior citizens were discussed in the class. The class got the support of the ward member also. Along with senior citizens, other young people also participated in the class and due to the pandemic of Covid-19, everybody has taken precautions as prescribed by the government.
